GOLFKING Hosts the Inaugural Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Japan-Korea-China Friendship Golf Tournament

An International Golf Event in Shizuoka

GOLFKING hosted the inaugural Mt. Fuji Shizuoka Japan-Korea-China Friendship Golf Tournament on May 20 and 21, 2026.

The two-day event took place in Shizuoka Prefecture's Izu region, bringing together amateur golfers from Japan, Korea and China for golf, conversation and shared travel experiences.

Golf as a Shared Language

The tournament was designed as a friendship event rather than a professional competition. Golf gave participants a shared language through which to connect across national and cultural differences.

Playing rounds together, sharing meals and spending time at the courses created opportunities for relaxed conversation and deeper mutual understanding.

Two Days Showcasing Izu Golf

The tournament opened on May 20 with the first round at Yugashima Golf Club & Hotel Resort, before moving to Izu Heights Golf Club for the second round the following day.

Each course offered a distinct setting and a different highland golf experience. Beyond the rounds themselves, participants also connected through their stay, shared meals and travel between venues.

By linking two courses in a single itinerary, the tournament highlighted the depth of Izu's golf offering, its natural scenery and its ability to welcome international golf travelers.

Connecting International Golfers with Shizuoka

For international golfers, Shizuoka combines quality courses, natural scenery, accommodation and local culture within the wider Mount Fuji and Izu travel area.

The tournament introduced participants to courses and local experiences that could be included in future golf trips to Japan.
